Are there internet providers that have secure/encrypted email to prevent other people from reading my emails?
I am going to be doing some traveling around the world and am looking for an email provider that is secure so that people/governments can't read my emails. Are there companies out there that provide secure/encrypted email?

- I believe Charter does.
- Well, you could encrypt the contents of the email, of course if you are paying bills that way, this won't work. But if you are sending information to someone else there are lots of secure encrypting programs you could use, as long as the person on the other end has your password. But no, I've never heard of any internet company that encrypts their emails.
- Use google mail. They have SSL encrypted web mail. If you don't like a web interface they provide IMAP and POP SSL encrypted interfaces too. Some hosting providers have partnered with Google apps to give users a <user>@<yourdomain.com>, but actually uses the Google appliance stack, so you will get this out of the box.
