Business Email Service

Can anyone recommend a dependable free email service (not yahoo)?

I have had repeatedly the same problem accessing my Yahoo mail within the last couple of months. I can acess the screen to type in my email address, but then the screen just suddenly freezes. This can happen numerous times. Then eventually, I can access the mail after repeated attempts with includes having to re-boot again and again. Finally, I realised that this is a Yahoo problem. I have an email account with my local telephone company which is rock solid reliable. However, I wanted access to my email when I travel, so I used Yahoo as well. I would like to know if there are any other reliable free email services. I do not want a lot of extras. I just want reliable access to email on a daily basis. Also, how can I manage to access my other email from my local telephone company while travelling? I need to consider all options. I have had it with Yahoo email, and I am sick of wasting time trying to get access to it. Any help, suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

8. it sounds as though your computer is your biggest probelm, not yahoo email. also you mentioned something about your phone company. you are not the last person on the planet to be using dial-up are you?

10. gmail.com is an alternate if u dont want to use Yahoo mail, or have probs. its fast and more than 2GB space. Yahoo now has unlimited space. However, the prob u mentioned is unheard of... hope some1 can help u out with it :)
11. Gmail is good but so is Hotmail. I have found that I get less spam on Gmail though and also the spam filter is far better on Gmail.
12. If you were with yahoo beta i would recomend swithching back to normal yahoo. sometimes it can be new software in your computer that stops it from working. but if that doesn't work try hotmail.
13. Googlemail takes a bit of beating. It is also very secure re spam and such like ..... the address is http://mail.google.com Give it a try ... you've nothing to loose .... and of course theres always hotmail.
